Early 60's Ludwig For Sale

I picked this Ludwig kit up last week. But I think I'm going to sell it. I haven't had time to clean it and polish it yet, but I think it's a really nice vintage kit. The wrap is tight and original with no problems, and no extra drilled holes.

The matching 8 Lug snare drum is dated Jan 1961 (white interior) No serial# on badge, Round knob & Muffler, and original heads top & bottom.

The floor Tom 16"x16" is dated Feb. 1961 (white interior), no serial# on badge, Round knob & Muffler.

The tom 9"x13" is dated Jan 1963 Red ink (white interior), no serial# on badge, Baseball Bat & square Muffler.

The bass drum 14"x22" has the Ludwig Transition badge on it. As you can see from the pics, the inside is not painted. There is a date stamp but I can't read it clearly Dec 18, 19??

Also, the bass drum is the same sparkle blue, under the lugs, as the other toms but, has it has turned to a darker blue.

There is nothing wrong with the kit, it's just that it is a mixed match kit and nobody seems to like it and says it's not worth very much since it is not a factory assembled kit. That's why I'm selling it. If interested I will take $550 for the set. Cymbal arm included, but cymbal & snare stand not included. Thanks

I think it's worth more than that. And it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks if you like the sound and look thats all that matters.

If you ship those to Italy they will never be seen again since musical instruments are considered contraband of some type to the customs folks in Italy. Better to keep the usa in the usa if you know what I mean....;)
