Early 60's Ludwig Blue Sparkle Snare

Loading...

Can somebody tell me if my drum is worth anything? Being a guitar player, I have no idea.

Here are the specs.

# Serial number: 90171- dates to mid 60s

# Original Brass Keystone Badge is original and untampered

# Size: 14"x5".. I think. 6" rim to rim

# Condition: Good. There is some pitting on the throw-off, some lugs show some brass plating

# Finished in original Blue Sparkle wrap. The wrap is in Excellent condition with no problems. It is unfaded.

# Original White-Painted interior is in Excellent condition, very little wear

Thanks in Advance!

It's worth something, in decent condition it's probably worth

more than my entire 4 pc Standards I just got... Hurting

That's a Jazz Festival if I'm not mistaken, pretty sweet man. :)

Is that a 6 or 8 lugger? Probably not a 6 lug Pioneer...

Sorry, all I had to do was click on the thumb to enlarge and can clearly see it's a 8 lugger.

Thanks for the note, Eric. It's been lounging around in my basement for years and I think it deserves a new home for someone that would appreciate it.

I'd be interested also. It's a pretty expensive snare. But, since it is blue sparkle(More common) and not something like green I'd say it wouldn't pull more than $300 if you gave it some time.

There all wrong... It's worthless! Send it to me and maybe I'll reimburse the shipping... Not that it would match a kit of mine or anything... No... uh uh...

Thanks for the info. Good one Fishwaltz! Funny.

Well if anyone wants to make me offer, I'll sure be glad to consider giving it a new home. Just send me a PM.
