The good: pre-serial, mahogany/poplar/mahogany 5x14 shell, WFL p-83.
The bad: lugs are really pitted, mismatched COS hoops, black paint on the throw-off, import butt, wood glue slobber on the re-rings, no date stamp, and the previous owner put a modern tone control into where the original small knob one should be.
Also looks like the bearing edges were sanded. Maybe?
Looks like a novus polish on the wrap, and a dawn bath for the lug casings.
I think after the dawn bath, I may try several different methods of cleaning the lug casings to see which works the best.
