Early 1960's Premier set.

Just finished these,…

Early 1960's Premiers with Royal Ace and matching 20" Trixon floor tom.

The Trixon is dated 1963. The equal fading on all the drums could indicate that all of them came more or less together. The second tom + mount are not original but seem to be done by a pro. The set was originally Gold Sparkle but mellowed into a nice ginger like sparkle.

Most toms still had the Everplay Extra extra heads on them and all original hardware is there.

The chrome is excellent and besides a few cracks around the bass drum muffler knobs, the wrap survived surprisingly well. The bass drum hoop has the usual scuffs and marks but the inlays are intact.

I still need to try them with new heads but even with the old ones, the set sounds beautiful. I tuned them up way high and oh boy,... pure sweetness.

I've been looking for a late 50's early 60's premier kit for a while and I'm thrilled to have found one,… definitely a keeper and a player !

Since you guys like pictures,… I took a lot !!!

So sweet!

You'll end up selling off all your other gear.

You won't want to play anything else.

Nice presentation. I gotta' say. You post some sweet kits. However, that funky backdrop wall makes the kit pics even cooler.

Nice work!

Stedi - treat yourself to three sets of these:

Put one set on the 20" Trixie, one set on the Premier 16" and add two to the spurs on your bass drum. You will not believe how the air-cushioned feet improve the sound of the drums.

Try them, you'll thank me later!

I have these on my Camco's and Slingerlands and they made a huge difference.

I'll try them on the Premiers but aesthecically they would be a bit big. Probably yours are nicer looking on this kit.
