e-bay and craigs list

is it normal to for me to be angered that that I sold a kit on e-bay and less then 24 hours it shows up on e-bay for the double the price?

I mean, I sold the kit at a more then fair price, and now its kind of like a slap in the face.

I don't know, maybe I am crazy. someone help me out with this.Falling Do

If you sold it for a fair price, it's unlikely to resell for twice that. Because I've had a similar experience, I understand why you might be upset, but I'm guessing it's more about the quick resell than the price.

A few years ago, I sold a kit to someone who gave me a sob story about how it was something he was looking for but that his wife was giving him a hard time yadda yadda yadda so I let myself be manipulated into settling for his offer. He then turned around and parted it out. I was more upset about his lie than the monetary aspect.

Ultimately, once you sell something, the buyer can do whatever he wants. If you got your price, take solace in that.

yea I hear you guys, so upsetting, just ****es me off big time. you know I bought a Ludwig kit from a good friend a long time ago and brought that kit back to life and it meant a lot to me. (all of my drums do) so when I decided to sell it, I had my pecking order. I would first give the guy who helped me a shot, he would have gave me what I wanted, but he owns a shop, so I know he would sell it, but he passed, so I asked a few friends, same thing, so of course the dreaded CL.

usually when I buy something, yes I look to make a deal, but I don't look to rip someone off. its a fine line, but I tread softly and try to show respect to people who I buy from, especially if I know that item means something to them.

when I sell, of course I like money, and yes sometimes greed will get to me, but! I really try to find someone who I know will appreciate something as much as I did. and I will always be honest and work with someone, you don't always have too, but its all about respect. I like to think I am helping someone out by cutting them a deal on a nice BOP kit. especially when I tell them I need the money and I know I could e-bay it and probably make more money, but I am impatient and you have convinced me that my kit is what you have been searching for.

then Bam! you see it, ouch, I guess I feel like an exploited refugee. well, a lesson learned. water under the bridge, you cant hold a grudge and tomorrow is a new day. it will all work itself out. good night I guess I am done crying and moaning. there will always be good music and drums.

I get mad at myself more than the buyer/seller. If I don't do my research and price it below market value then that's on me. Now I've had resellers try and get me down and I flat out refuse to do it. Had one on these boards buy under one name on eBay then resell under another. I knew it was my idem because it had a distinct mark on it. Again my fault for not doing the research to find out market value. So don't be mad at yourself just use it as a learning tool.

I think what's makes me mad the most is knowing this guy is about to make money off of my by ripping someone off, my Ludwig kit on e-bay right now is really only worth max 800 but someone who doesn't know vintage drums will see that kit and how nice I made it look and will probably buy it. But hey lesson learned, was either auction it on e-bay or sell it to a friend.

I sold a kit once, and they guy had tried to flip in in less than two weeks. Ran a CL ad with a story about how he needed to pay some bill, sacrificing his beloved drum. And the jackleg stole my own pictures for his ad. I hate liars.

Yea, sad man so sad. My kit was really my baby, I was shocked to see it on e-bay 12 hours later. For double the price. I gave this dude a deal of a lifetime on such a great kit, he'll you can still see it now on line. Lol
