Dynasonic head suggestions

Loading...

Hello VDF,

I'm going to clean up and re-head my '69 COB Rogers Dynasonic. I've always used clear snare Ambassadors on the reso and a coated Ambassador on top, but I'm looking to experiment with something different on the batter. Thoughts? Nothing heavy, dots, or 2 ply.

Thanks!

Maybe try a Remo Diplomat...It`s a single ply head...

The Dynasonic was designed to use a Diplomat-weight batter and a Ambassador-weight snare-side head. Naturally, if you feel you might break a Diplomat, you can't go wrong with an Ambassador-weight batter without giving up too much sensitivity the drum was designed for.

Why not see if you can buy a new Rogers logo head from Big Bang distribution?

As for experimentation.I used a Remo M 5 Diplomat on this Dyna.
