Dynasonic bridge original or repro?

Loading...

I have had in my collection a late '60's COB Dynasonic for a few years, which I love playing, however I have never had the snare bridge/frame . I am (finally) ready to purchase a snare bridge/frame but I don't know whcih one to go for.

Should I wait it out and try to find an original or should I buy the reproduction that Al Drew Music is offering? Anyone ever used the repro? What are your thought/opinions? It seems like a decent price and the originals are becoming harder and harder to find.

I see the originals on ebay almost every day. I'd go for the real thing. Keep in mind that there are four generations of Dyna-Sonic snare frames so make sure you get the one that's period correct for your drum although they all will work on any Dyna.
