Dyna-Sonic Snare and Toms Dated 1972??

Loading...

I have been enjoying reading on all the articles I have found in this forum, there is a lot of interesting things in them. My sister give me some Rogers drums and I have researched, but can not get exact on the kit name or year they where made. My paper tag says 1972, but every where I have looked, does not have a 1972, its like that year was skipped.. I am in the process of restoring them, although they where very much taken care of by who ever owned them. I have attached a couple of photos and here is as much information as I could find on them. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

You could find a bass drum on ebay to match. But .. as for knowing. ...

I am a Rogers player.

Do you have the parts for the Dynasonic snare drum?

Yes,, Putting it back together right now. I took a very long time to do it right, unusual for me, but man it just looks like it will sound so good. I can not wait to hear it. I believe it is missing a little knob though, I will know more about that when I find an actual picture like this one.

Well, There she is, My before pictures did not take, I am really sad of that because I have about 20 hours of grinding elbow grease in this snare. Where the rings sat on the top and bottom I thought was in the metal to deep that rust had eating it up, but hours of sweet talking the old girl, like a little kid chasing candy, she lifted that skirt up, and WOW!!!! I am impressed. I have everything ready but I wanted to put new heads on her, but man, I sure want to pick the right one. On my old pearl Snare I use Remo Ambassador Battered head, and it really has an awesome snap to it. I have never played any of the real instruments, I was always a "look cool" Shopper.Guitar Dude Man

Any advice? I really need some guidance on this baby, I would hate to ruin the moment by putting the wrong heads on her. However, looks like I wont be selling this much of the kit after all.

I will start on the small Tom next and Have some before pictures up in a bit.

Oh yeah, The snare is missing a knob I wonder where one would find something like that?

I also need these two small screws where the string is supposed to be clamped here, these screws are to long and thats why they had them run like they did, I would want to keep these original would I not? Hope thats not a dumb Question. (Picture Below)

And the only other piece I would need is the Snare Strainer Knob (Picture Below)
