There ARE memory locks on 6000 stands, I took mine off to lighten the load and to trim the look of the stands down (other than the HH stand).

I've had mine for a couple of years now and they are great. They take a beating and are nice and light in a Protection Racket soft bag/case. Also they look great and in keeping set up with one of my Vintage kits. The black handles don't worry me at all, they make set up easy, and besides you can't see them anyway from the audience. If you worry about that then Gibraltar make basically the same stand with wing nuts.

Anyway for me they are good, very good. I don't regret at any level the decision to use them.
