I'll be interested to hear what you guys think of it. I have a newer MIT Ludwig Accent kit in red wine and would like to re wrap it another color. Purple or that Black Sparkle maybe??? I'm trying to coax my wife into learning how to play the drums. Purple would be good as it's her favorite color. Kiss

If it's anything like the Accent wrap it's on the thin side but pretty durable and looks nice overall. Would be easy to work with.

my sample of the black sparkle just arrived today. the weight is similar to the discounted stuff that jammin' sam sells. about the same as what was on pacific kits.

looks solid black from a distance, but up close you can see the fine silver specks. i think it actually looks kind of classy, and the quality seems to be there.

Glenn, I would be happy to veneer those drums with some maple or birch and do a purple pearl finish, just ship me the shells. I did one last year and it looked great. Deending on how you mix the paint you can acheive a soild color or semi transparent where you can still see wood grain. Look at the pics below.
