It was "requested" by bigger pants than my own, that I hold off on posting the kitty stick holder. I complied.

In all seriousness have you ever sat behind the kit and started playing without realizing that cat was in the bass drum? I can't imagine it muffling the drums for too long hahaha

Would kinda' sound like thud-thud-eoooow, followed by a frantic scratch, scratch, scratching sound........I would imagine. Those pics are too funny. Forgot about cat-dom; man, they sleep anywhere!

I use my extra shells as an obstacle course through the living room. It keeps all who enter on their toes....And the hardware is great for decoration, the sun glints off of it at the most inopportune moments.

I wish I had a picture of it.

One year when we couldn't afford a Xmas Tree we had stacked my drums to form a "tree", the drums being a sort of a spruce color to begin with and all that shinny chrome. We put lights all over it and had a very cool Xmas that year.

I few years ago I found two NOS still in the original box Ludwig #1329 stands. It was a stand they sold to be used with their wood based practice pads. It's got a little bracket and two screws to affix it to those pads.

They're probably from the mid 70's, going by the wing bolts.

I made a wood top for one and covered that with some of that no-slip rubber type stuff you use in tool drawers and such. It's a real handy-dandy table, I use it for my laptop and have used it for gigs.

It's real handy when I'm doing stuff like fixing a wall light switch - there's no place to put your pliers and tools while you work otherwise.

I also use it when I'm sawing the end off of a long piece of lumber on my chop saw to hold the end of the lumber up. It shares almost the same base as the 1400 stand, except it's a tripod... the concert band in my high school had snare stands with that base, it's very compact.

If Home Depot had them they would probably sell.

I had a hi hat as a lamp stand for a long time!

My drum teacher used a timpani head and a couple of bricks on his air conditioner during the winter to keep the snow off the unit.
