Don't want to spoil it for you guessers, but they found a vintage Sling kit and an old K, looked to be pretty big, possibly an 18"

I'm no guru, just a vintage drum junkie!

i saw that episode the drum shop was not saying the way it was, the drums looked right for mid to late 50's the k was a 20 or 22 in and they paid 1800 for the kit and k the kit only brought 300 the k was1500

April 2nd 1969 scarfed pink champagne holly wood and 65/66 downbeat snare, and , supra same year very minty kit old pies
66/67 downbeat with canister
Super 400 small round knob
1967 super classic obp

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

I believe that the drums were cobbled together. Mid 50s badge on BD, tacked-on bottom heads on toms, duco finish looked suspicious.

I caught the tale end of this episode and was very surprised at the price Stan and Jerry paid for this. The whole thing seemed scripted to me. I'll make a point to stop there on my next visit to the area and ask them about this.
