I wish . . . I could find a comprehensive list of drum shops by country and state.

Five Star is a start, but that's just a few shops.

Web searches for "vintage drum store" are clumsy.

Listing shops by country and state would be better than an alphabetical name-of-the-shop list.

I'm on the road a lot. Next gig is Europe. Always have a little time to seek out drum shops, especially those with some vintage drums and cymbals in the proverbial "back room." To support these small shops I always try to buy something, an extra drum key, used cymbal, sticks or even an entire kit, (if it's vintage Ludwig.)

My best luck is to go to a drum or cymbal manufacturer's website and click on "dealer locations". Promark, Meinl, Ludwig, etc. have decent lists but they include all music stores not drum/percussion specific shops.

Sometimes the name of the town these shops are located in is not familiar, because they are located in a suburb. Indicating the nearest major city would be nice. For instance one of my favorite shops is the Drum Pad in Palatine, IL, a small suburb of Chicago. (In this case they maintain a great website with clear map and directions.)

In addition, many drum shop websites are created with the intent of serving local customers only, so they may lack good maps or their address is buried in their webpages. Out of town customers should be considered as a viable market. When I buy something large on the road, I simply have it shipped home.

Anyone with the time to research and create a list of drum shops by country and state?

Time for me to load up and roll . . . if you own a drum shop I may be visiting you soon and ready to buy, not just browse.
