Still watching this closely and taking notes. It doesn't bode well thus far. LOTS of no bids and Reserve Not Met. Already gotta No Pay (though I question the validity of it). So far, it looks like the snare, a couple of cheaper cymbals, and a drum head (seriously) might have sold. The big news is a players kit sold. That's pretty cool. There's been no follow up though.
I'm not planning on venturing in to these waters. There's still too many unaddressed issues with the site.
Have you done anything daring here?
I have not dipped a toe. I have been watching and have not seen anything move. I have some stuff I need to "jettison" kind of bad, need to make some extra dough!
I commend him for the idea, but nowadays, everyone is wary of internet scams and unknown dangers of what someone with enough computer savvy can do with whatever information you provide to them. I actually wanted someone to do this and be successful at something like this so that I could avoid eBay. As a small-time, occasional seller, eBay has turned into a nightmare for me. I've had nothing but people who apparently can't/don't read the auction terms...bidders on high-end items who don't have any feedback history (but who know how to snipe bids better than anyone else)....people in other countries, etc. What should turn out to be a simple, straight-ahead transaction, turns into weeks of emailing and backtracking and checking PayPal. I'd love it if something like this could really work. DrumGems.com was another idea that just didn't take off. People are afraid to take the plunge.
I sold a set of sixties Slingerlands there two weeks ago.
Smooth all the way.
THAT'S the players kit I saw that sold. Cool MoDeeee! I was curious about the follow up on that one. Good to hear that there was a solid deal on it.
I honestly HONESTLY hope that this site takes off and does a wonderful biz. A lot of us are seeking an alternate method.

Yep. good ole item 61............!!
Hi, there has been activity and a fair amount of emails. To those who see this, the site is fully SSL certified, plus there is an added level of security in the software, if the person trying to list an item is NOT the owner of the credit card, it can't be listed.
It is now 100 percent free to join and 100 percent free to list. with a small back end fee when it sells.
Many people are looking for an alternative to ebay, who in my opinion does make it quite expensive to sell drums, especially in the 500-1000 price range, due to their new fee structure, can cost up to double what it was a few weeks ago
This site is taking shape. Good work on implementing some of the necessary improvements. We're pulling for you. This could turn into something very good on down the road.
Hi, thanks, it is very much appreciated.
