Here's a photo of my Drum Mate Peacock Pearl set on the gig today, a July 4th pool party in Branchburg, NJ.
The toms sounded fine, but I don't have the bass drum dialed in yet. I have an Evans EMAD on the way. I also used my newly restored Kent Black Ripple snare drum that I just finished. It sounded surprising good.

Yes, a ten lugger. These drums are far better quality than the usual thin luan shell MIJ stuff I have had previously. I believe they are maple shells. They are very heavy, sturdily-built drums, much heavier than anything else from this era of MIJ stuff I have played or seen. Definitely a step up in quality.
