Can I caulk this foam?

I suspose you could. But I think you're on the right track by sealing the shell the the bed liner. Then you could seal the bottom head to the bearing edge with some silicon sealer. I'd keep the insualtion "removable" for cleaning & drying.

Next time you stay in a hotel, swipe the ice bucket. A little Velcro on the bottom and you have yourself a removable ice bucket.

Dishwasher safe.
