Drum Badges

Loading...

While I know it isn't exactly the right thing to do, I understand there was at least one company and perhaps several who reproduced old, now virtually unobtainable Drum Badges which were vertually indistinguishable from the originals. Can anyone direct me to the source for such badges? I am particularly interested in the Keystone ones. I would appreciate any directions at all. My email is ksrigg at gmail dot com. Just doing a restoration of an old kit, and need that finishing touch. I would gladly buy the real mccoy, but by the time one finds them and pays shipping, you could buy a new low tier kit. It's just plain silly. I see a few on the Bay, but they want like $25.00 plus shipping each for those..someone has to be making these somewhere for cheap..Thanks for any help...

the $25.00 is about the going rare for badges and more, but here's a good reproduction from Bill. http://shop.ebay.com/myoldkentuckydrums/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=&_trksid=p4340

The keystones are very good badges, as I have purchased several. But, do not think they are virtually indistinguishable from the real thing. They are not correct, nor were they intended to be. The keystone has no serial number and yet it has the circle R in the top right corner. It is subtle, but it is not correct. They are excellent badges, though.
