Why is it in Australia that the rarer the drum kit, the more likely at least one photo will be of the drums stacked on the kick, which is sitting on concrete DOH

Hahaha....yer trout, I get my mrs to take photos for me.

I reckon it will sit for a while and just keep watch on it. I am tempted to buy it, but I would need go and look at it. I live 3 hours away and I just got a premier genista of feebay for $600 and I feel guilty with that buy. I could always just sell the gretsch renown in nitro yellow wrap and that could work????

That is a rare kit. The Dandy snares are worth a bit. I bought my Drouyn kit to preserve it, really. It's in very good condition, so I don't take it out much. I would probably sell a Genista and a Renown for it; but that's the collector talking! Good luck.

Then I would be left without a players kit....lol....I will just watch and see if there is any bites. I know who my direct competition will be, he buys the vintage kits in Melbourne for next to nothing and on sells them for stupid prices! I dont like getting in bidding wars and I just prefer to cut my loses or check out gumtree.

Boora, i KNOW who you;re talking about i've been dealing with him for over 20yrs!, i messaged the seller of the Dandy-Drouyn kit &asked him if he has a "B.I.N. " price&he replied not really but if i make him an offer he'd consider it!, i can ONLY offer him $1900 &that depends on whether i sell my kit on fee/prey bay or fee/prey tree! :).

Back in"the day" I sold plenty of drum items to Austraila, using Shipping by sea option,it took a few weeks but was cheap.Never had a problem, then USPS stopped all of that and there went a lot of sales. Does Austraila have sea shipping anymore? Thats a nice set of drums by the way. Oh Thanks for Grant Balfour, the Aussie pitcher is a closer for the Oakland A's.He is a wild man and mow's'm down.. When I first started drumming I use to buy some things from him and I thought he was ok. He has some very nice kits 4 sale but at very, very high prices. I know he operates as an business, but gee the prices are still very high.....but people are buying from him still and I just prefer trading post, gumtree, private and fleebay.

With the dandy-drouyn kit, it will be interesting to see what it goes for? I don't think it will go for the 1,900.... i think someone will get it closer to the price it's at now. I would just wait until the last minute and put a bid on it. Whoever gets it will get a very nice kit.

Nme, not sure about sea shipping, I will have to have a look into it. I would love to get a couple of kits from the states shipped out, vintage out here is so rare. Not a baseball fan, but I do see we export some very good ball players across to you guys. We are having a few of you guys try out for our sport as well (Aussie rules). I think there are a couple of young guys on international rookie contracts.
