Drouyn and Dandy score thanks DFO

Loading...

My Christmas presents are both Aussie ones: A Dandy snare (pre-1955) and an incredible find - a 22" Drouyn bass drum (converted in the 1970's from a marching drum) in the same wrap as my Drouyn Professional kit (20/13/16)

Both these drums sort of passed through DFO so thank you admins.

Snare before:

After: This drum has wide almost flat edges and an interesting parallel-type snare arrangement. It sounds wonderful and is a bit like a Radio King to play.

This bass drum sounds amazing and the whole kit is a sight and sound to behold. 22" setup:

Original kit with 20" Rose Alder bass drum:

Beautiful drums, very beautiful.

That white silk is just delicious.

What a shame that Drouyns are so scarce and Australia so far away from me...

Enjoy!
