It's the exact drum i've been waiting for! It will finish my 61 kit!.

however I've never seen a wrap look so "new"...

Thoughts? Let me know cause it's buy it now and it was just posted a couple hours ago, im sure i'll be gone by another eager collector/player in the next couple of hours..

Thanks!

That does not look like a recent rewrap. It's got that hazy feel to it that silver sparkle gets after years and years of life. I call it a milky silver, but that's just me. I had a Rogers kit where two of the drums did that. Ludwig does it too, but not as drastic. Nice tom. I would go for it.

I know it doesn't matter, now that you've already bought it, but for what it's worth, I own 3 silver sparkle Ludwig kits, and it looks legit to me...

1970 Ludwig Downbeat
1965 Ludwig Hollywood
1970 Ludwig Jazzette

As far as explaining it goes:

Honey, its an investment! Think of it as investing in the stock market only I get to have fun with it while it is gaining value!

Works every time because it is true! Can't argue with the facts!

Try this one:

"It's an investment that is also a tax write off!"

or this one:

"Think of it as vintage art collecting!"

or this:

"You know how you like shoes? Well I like drums JUST like you like shoes!"
