Does someone sell "new tech" Rogers hardware for early 60's Rogers drums?

I bought new tom mount hardware for my 1969 Ludwig outfit and I love it. It was the bass drum mount, the tom riser and the 2 mounts for the toms. I absolutely love the "new tech" plastic ball joints and the grooved tom holders really hold tight. And, memory locks....... wow, does that make life better. How did they live without them. LOL

I packaged all the original hardware up and I'll save it for resale when (if) I ever sell this set. There were no new holes required and I can return the outfit to vintage any time I want, with ease.

You guys know all about this. You showed me. LOL

So...... now, I want to do this to my 1964-5 Rogers Londoner. I gigged it last night and I really really really really like the way it sounds. However, the tom mount hardware is incredibly wobbly. Even the use of the bass drum moved the toms quite a bit. Not to mention having to use a key to make any and all adjustments.

I guess I can live with it if I have to but if there's a way to adapt new tech hardware like I did with the Ludwig, I will jump on it like flies on... well, you know. Really fast. LOL

As always, TIA

Sounds like you have the early Swiv-O- mount.............

Does it has a cymbal tilter between the 2 toms? Thats the early one.......

You can upgrade to the later, more heavy duty one,but you would need to bore out the center hole on the BD mount to do that.

I know,as I did it to my 64-65 Londoner kit in around 1974!

I was only 18,but figured that out.

Your toms won't move around like crazy if you do that though.

Yep, I have the early mount with the cymbal holder in the center.

I really really really don't want to disturb the shell. How much of a bigger hole is required? Do the bolt patterns all match up?

How about the tom mounts on the toms? Do those need to be replace to accommodate the new holder?

I'm not sure I'm willing to violate the shell but I'll certainly look into it. Thanks a ton for the info.

You just have to bore out 1 hole......the center one on the BD..........everything else matches right up..........don't even need to change the mounts on the tom!

Maybe center hole needs to be bored to a Quarter size hole..........can't remember.....not huge.

Great. Thanks for the info. Maybe I should just buy your red sparkle Rogers Londoner and then I won't have to bore mine, eh? LOL

Thanks again
