My friend recently bought these drums at a Goodwill store in Florida
They are Yamaha, but there are no markings as to what model or year they may have been made in.
Can anyone help me?

I have to agree, those look like the wrap was removed and then a stain applied. At any rate, they should sound nice since they are Yamaha. He could search the Yamaha site, they have a good site for the vintage section, he can search by pix to see if he can find anything close. I would put a glitter finish on them and be done and have a really nice set, or spend a couple a bills and wrap them.
