Is it better take off the kick drum anchor when traveling or is it ok to leave on? I use really good padded bags and I'm easy on my gear. Thanks!

Do you take your kick drum anchor off when you travel?

I use a Walberg & Auge (?) Ringo-type bass drum anchor on my gigging kit and never take it off...I put two rubber "feet" on the pointy ends when the drum is in the padded case, to protect it. When I set up the kit, I pull off the rubber feet and stick them in that little pocket that is on every pair of blue jeans. That way, I'm not fumbling around after the gig, trying to find the little rubber feet. They are always in same place. Enjoy, mb

This is a great idea!
One of my anchors is a Gibraltar and the other is an off-brand but works just as well. Thanks!
