Some of you asked for my evaluation of this little utility stool / secondary drum throne. This little collapsible stool/throne is pretty fine for many uses around the house or anywhere else. If I choose to vote at the polling place or go to the DMV to renew my driver's licence, I'll take this little gem with me to make the waiting less tedious. If I want to use it with my drum sets, here's a picture of it next to my canister throne. The canister throne is taller by the thickness of the padded top. So, some sort of cushion--a throw pillow or a bicycle padded cover--maybe one of those gel types--for a cruiser -type bike seat should suffice.
Do You Need an Extra Drum Throne?
Mine arrived the other day too. Unfortunately it's way too short for the height I'm comfortable sitting at behind the kit, but yes, it will have plenty of other uses. Adding some sort of cushioning is the right move; it's definitely not the softest seat in the house. Still, for $20 you can't really go wrong with it.

Were you able to find one for about $20? What color did you get?
It was $20.99 on Amazon, but only the red one was available for that price. The grey one looks a little better and was a lot more, but I’ll live. Probably won’t be using it when entertaining the Queen...
Same here. Only the black with red top and bottom was available at the $20.99 price with next day free shipping. I would have preferred the gray. But, I share your same thoughts about being happy with what was available at the best price. At least neither of us had to ponder if we really wanted to get a pink one.
