Totally cool. Another example of the unpredictability of Ludwig operations, serial numbers, badges, etc., etc.
Do I just cover back over it? LOOK! Ludwig

"LUDWIG 75TH ANNIVERSARY OUTFIT
This commemorative outfit was created especially to recognize the Ludwig Diamond Jubilee. It incorporates all the quality resulting from the three generations of craftmanship in the U.S.A. While the design and configuration are as contemporary as tomorrow, its appearance reflects the Ludwig tradition with the American eagle emblem, the Ludwig keystone, and Ludwig script logo. Destined to be a collector's item."

Well guys, the decision was made to just cover over the eagle for now. The owner is planning to label the drum inside, so it can be easily re-discovered at a later time, and he can have a nice floor tom for the current time.
How did you attach the wrap? Hope it will come off easily, should the owner change his mind.

Well, personally I think that's kinda sad, but it's not my drum. As Mark commented, I hope you used the tape method on the wrap.
Sorry, I don't use the tape. On the other hand, I have removed my wrap before, and the 3M water based contact adhesive comes apart rather easily.(compared to vintage ludwigs/rogers/etc.) The pictures hid a lot. The clear on the drum had some major cracking. and chipped a bit at the taped seams. So it would need refinished ether way. It is just temporarily finished for now. At least thinking of it that way made me feel better....
