I've always been partial to Remo heads for my vintage drums (although I do use Evans heads quite regularly on my modern drums and many of my snares, whether vintage or modern). I'm also a fan of the bass drum head options that Evans puts out. So, here's the reason for my post - I just can't seem to dig Evans heads for my vintage toms. I've used them, but I always seem to want to get some Remos back on those tom batters. I find that I try really hard to like the Evans offerings because they're typically much cheaper, but my tom preference still lies with Remo. I know that this is all personal preference, but I'm interested in hearing what you guys have to say on the subject. Has anyone found an Evans combination that they really like on their toms?
