Interestingly, that's the same throw off and butt end as an early version Pearl Free Floater.

If I'm not mistaken Pearl didn't even come up with the free floater, it was someone at Kaman ( CB ) I've seen ( not many ) but a couple with the CB badge and they go for silly money. Wouldn't be too shocking if other companies came up with great ideas that were above their respective market demographic. I mean who would buy a snare from CB for $400 when the complete sets cost less?
