The very few Premier Acrylic kits made were special in that the shells consisted of 2 halves, each machined with a tongue and a groove so that the heads held them together.

I wasn't wrong - it's the same DIY kit (OddBall also have found this set on pages).

But I not remember that original acrylic Premiers have passed trough my eyes...

There`s a dimple , centered between each eyebrow on the batter hoop all the way around, Any clues as to what or why that is done ?? I would think factory would match the hoops !!
The other things that wonder me are the lugs with no caps on the back, you can see into them, and the splay of the rods themself !!
Thinking about the badge,..it looks 70`s , the picture frame around it should be the same thickness as the P and this looks a bit wider and no rounded corners, which I never saw on a Premier badge !!
After going over the photo's i see many things wrong about the drum to be a Premier made drum. The rims are wrong,T-rods are wrong, the mounting screws on the lugs are wrong, also the lugs should only have one mounting screw not two,the lug's don't look like a Premeir lug they are fatter in the middle and the shape looks wrong maybe the lugs are off a John Grey snare? The strainer i have not seen on a Premier drum.I have never seen a red Premier badge like that is shape ete...Iam thinking its a home made drum? But i could be wrong ....Mikey
Big yes to Mikey.
Hoops looks as some of versions chinese Omega, Force or Brahner and etc.
But I also could be wrong ....

Lugs look John Grey-ish. This may have been a prototype that didn't get approval or something the guys at the factory played around with when things were slow. You may want to ask Mike Dolbear. http://www.mikedolbear.com/default.asp
It's impossible to believe...
Today I received some photo from one guy out far south of Russia -- he asked me to ID his snare.
I was shocked -- it's fully identical Stedi's snare which also labelled Premier --- shell, strainer, logo are the same.
It has only one difference --- its hoops are simplier then have a more open tension flange (as all modern hoops now).
It's enigma...
