I have a flat based WFL I am restoring for a gent who is a "spare no expense" buyer.

It is in good shape, but does need some mechanical work, and some of the parts are not as ideal as I'd like them to be.

I also recently acquired an NOS 1123 (tripod). So, it's possible to swap a very few parts. I will replace the chewed up top rod. I am also contemplating removing (via hacksaw) the welded on top of the rod (that the bottom vymbal felt rests on). I can't tell -- it may be a press fit?? That would be a LOT easier to work with. That's a maybe.

But I can't tell if the clutch that came on the 1121 is original. The body of it is correct, and so is the wing nut. But not sure about the washers and the flat threaded knurled nuts (I don't know WHAT to call these, so I'll call the discs for now).

It goes: flat washer (plated), two felts, then two discs.

On the 1123, it goes top down: big oval disc, small disc, felt, felt plated cup logo washer, wing nut with nylon locking threads.

Ah, heck, I'll attach pics.

Jeez. Any advice as to the correct for the 1121 with the rubber tipped, not padded, legs?

Top two pics: this came with the 1121:

The NOS 1123 has this:

As long as I'm at it...anyone have an NOS for the 1121?? That'd be the #1 answer!
