It has been a few days since my last notable update. I'm constantly doing little changes and fixes. I first started the web site in 2002 with the hopes of being a source to help novice collectors identify their snare drum or a drum they wanted to buy on Ebay.
The first name was vintagesnaredrums.com and after a few years I started adding items from my collection. I figured if I liked to look at it then others would want to also. I changed the name to vintagedrumguide.com at that time and the site has flourished into what I call the "Largest vintage drum web site on the Internet" I make that statement based on all of the web sites I have visited and the fact that I have over 240 .html pages and roughly 3,000 images of drums and drum related memorabilia.
Other then that I now have the forum and a store attached to the web site. I get regular emails from people about the site and how much it helped them etc.. so that is why I continue to keep going and adding new drums and sections to the web site.
I recently just added some very rare snare drums to a collector page and thought they were some very nice examples of rare drums. These are from the Rich Kalinsky collection.
