One of the most visible of the 60's endorsers of Rogers Drums is set to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on March 10. Dave Clark and the rest of the Dave Clark Five will join the Hall. While most groups that get inducted usually play a couple of numbers I'll be curious to see how that goes for them. Their lead vocalist/keyboard player died of pneumonia yesterday. Too bad, I would have loved to see and hear them one more time with Dave setting up in back behind his signature Rogers kit. The event is usually televised on VH1 after editing and remixing.

Yes, wealthy and smart. Back in the 60's he was smart enough to negotiate into his record contract that he retained ownership of all of the masters from their recordings. That allowed him to control their later release into the CD reissue market. That kept the Dave Clark Five off of a lot of schlok British CD compilations.
