Dating Zildjian Stamps

I have some Zildjian Cymbals. I took some pics of thew stamps, but they have petina and cant see the stamp very well. I know most of Y'all would prefer the petina be left alone. Is it cool to clean the petina off of the stamp to get a good pic???

dont clean them...and especially dont clean one spot.

That link isn't going to help you. With later vintage cymbals you can't always tell the vintage just from the trademark alone. Front and back cymbal shots are needed.

So far I can tell you that 950 is late 1950's.
