Your floor tom is not a Tower model--they are center-lug drums. Most likely, the ran out of tags & used a Tower tag...........marko

That's a nice kit, but I would guess $800-1000, because the fade on the two drums.

Yup, it was pretty common practice at Rogers to use another models' tag. scratch the model name and handwrite new info.

Your kit has faded to a neat colour, I must say. The inlay on the hoops of my 20" Powertone BD have faded to a dark gingerale copper.

As for the tone control swap on the Dyna-Sonic bridge, that's pretty ingenious. It's actually pretty well what Tama did on the King Beat snare when they "borrowed" the Dyna design come to mention it.

I had a kit in 14x20, 16 (depth) x14 and 8x12 that had that very dark fade on all three drums and I liked it a lot. They were similar era. You bass and floor tom are probably from 1964 and floor tom from 1968 or so (speckled interiors began to show up in '67, but were a very light colored speckled paint that was followed-up with a slightly darker shade of the same paint).

I think you are looking at the lower end of Johnny Ringo's range because you don't have the tom mounting arm, in particular, that can run from $100 and up.

You might consider separating the set to a bass and tom and selling the FT separately, since it is fairly obvious they were not together from the outset.

That's a cool looking kit Dan.Cool1

I was actually in contact with the seller before seeing this thread. I pointed out that the fade and the missing tom would effect the price. He has it listed for $1,500 and said he based his price on what some had told him here.

Hi Dan. What a fantastic set! As much as I like silver glass, the aged dark silver is amazing. Add in the rare 16” depth ft and the two L rods cymbal mounts and it is extremely desirable to me. You sold it?

Yes, I sold it. It showed up once on a youtube video sometime later. It had belong to Bobby Chiasson at the drum farm. Nice kit. I really liked the deep fade.
