Yes!! it weighs a ton. I got out a 1965 Ludwig chrome 10 lug snare and the Ludwig is a bit lighter but not by much. The Pearl sounds way better no matter the head tightness and snare wires tightness either.Anybody want a Ludwig snare -490245-Puresound wires-chrome isn't that hot....

Logo 60s, lugs late 60s, but I wouldn't be too sure they did not run those into the early 70s until they ran out of those badges and lugs. The shell looks identical to the 1970's steel shells.

Wanted: Pearl President floor tom in Golden Grain wrap and rack tom in Tiger Eye (root beer) wrap.

To get the knurls on it, it would need to be a heavy gauge.

I have one that is the same except 8 lug and the next issue badge. Agree they like everyone ran lugs/badges whatever through production until gone.

Not a huge fan of COS snares but could not believe how good this one sounds. Haven't done a thing yet. I know I had a thread on it with good suggestions provided but not finding it yet...

**Edit** Regret until stand corrected can't multiple/combine search with:

"Pearl Snare" and thread starter "Creighton". Sorry.

Enjoy, fine snares. "Coffin" lug snares don't seem to come up for sale very often. Suspect everyone like me, keeping them.

Creighton

Nothing special here but I like them.
