I just heard of them myself. I didn't even know Danmar made drums until recently. I can't find any information on the history of these drums. Good Luck in your search!

Danmar Percussion Products was founded by Frank DeVito in 1970. After years of playing behind some of the biggest names in the music industry including Frank Sinatra, Elvis, The Beach Boys, Sonny & Cher, The Monkees, Herb Alpert, The Benny Goodman Orchestra and as a recording artist with Baja Marimba Band to name just a few.
