I come across some cymbals from time to time that have nicks and dings on the edges (we all have). My question: does anybody do re edging to make them look factory fresh again?

This is an interesting concept. I would have to think it would make the cymbal a little smaller in diameter, no?

Upon the discover of 'flea bites' I file them smooth - which sometimes is visably evident - but I don't care. I want to ensure they will not crack there. Sometimes they are too deep and big so I just leave them. I have been lucky not to have cracks form from one.
I use hand files - medium coarse to fine.
I only fix those flea bites in that area there. I do not 're-edge' the entire cymbal.
I had a great day! Instead of sleeping in and wasting the day, I got up at 8 and I had all my slacking done by noon!
