Cymbal guru's, some vintage stamps

Just got a haul of cymbals from Goodwill of all places and I know what a few of the cymbals are but not sure of the approximate dating of some of the stamps.

One is a Turkish K, I'm guessing 50's? -

Another one is a USA Avedis, guessing 60's? -

Pair of 14" Paiste 602 hats which I'm guessing 60's era? -

Ludwig Standard by Paiste, are these the same alloy as 602's or a level down? -

And some what I'm guessing are budget Turkish line pies made for Ludwig, IIRC from reading tid bits here and there on VDF -

looks like the avedis might be a trans stamp which would be pre 54 or so. without the light on it, does the z and the co stand out more? either way its 50's and older.

if the Ludwig paiste standard is made in Germany, I think its an earlier one like 60-64 and would be ns-12. they were made in Switzerland a little later on.

Hey Mike, yeah the Z and Co are deeper. The Lud Paiste is made in Germany.

The Paiste hats and ride all have the same SS # etched under the bell too.

This just seems like someone cleaned out a attic or basement and hauled 2 trap cases to Goodwill. There was also a Keystone 16'' floor tom in Denver at the exact same time, but no other drums.

Formula 602s aren't pinned down in year by the stamp. That one seems to have been used unchanged from 1959 - 1979. The period can be split into pre serial and a later 6 digit serial number period. The number is in the 6 o'clock position below the bell. First digit is the year on the serial number. Serials started in 1972 (current best guess).

Zenjian: There are two completely different Zenjians. Yours looks like the Italian which pretends to be Turkish via the crescent moon and star symbols. See this one with the made in italy ink stamp and the same die stamp as yours:

The K Istanbul stamp looks like a Hartrick Type IVb (1959) to me, but I'm no expert. My reference is the 2013 K Zildjian Dating Guide Bill Hartrick has in The Gretsch Drum Book by Rob Cook (p250-251).

Thanks for the info Zen.

I'm guessing nickel/silver alloy might be softer than brass as the Ludwig Paiste I got has a dent in the bell. I should bone up on my cymbal alloys :)
