Definitely it's the stamp/logo noted on the UFIP Rosertta Stone in the initial post...it's not very Ajaha-looking, it looks more machine-made than that. Interesting cymbal...to my knowledge nobody has ever posted a pic of one of these before.

Just another note, the hole in the cymbal bell is smaller - comparative to those in the 60's and earlier. I would have to guess then that this cymbal is fairly old. I have not been able to find any other information on that particular UFIP stamp - going to keep looking!

It must feel really cool to find a good cymbal in garbage... I dig this kind of life situations. I just wish they were happening more frequently to me...

That stamp on your cymbal looks like the fourth from the bottom in the far left column-to me.Only half-stamped.

Hi there, yes, that is the stamp. The only trouble is I have no info on that stamp. Other than this cymbal, I have never seen that stamp before. So, I'm looking to find out more about it. Any thoughts?

@Gilnar

Hi there,

yeah, it was a thrill to find this cymbal, it was in really rough shape when I picked up, and now it is almost to play. I'm looking forward to using it in a light jazzy situation. I think it was a lucky find - someone didn't know what a treasure they had.

Other than it being a vintage Italian cymbal, maybe (or maybe not) made by UFIP or at least at their factory....it's gonna be pretty hard to dig up anything more...particularly because it's anyone's guess as to exactly what that stamp reads !!
