Cymbal bass drum mount

Loading...

Hi! I have this 77 (+/-) Slingerland bass drum, and there what looks like a cymbal mount on it. It is not the type of cymbal arm that used to be on 60s Slingerland and Ludwig drums, with the L arm. There is a hole, with a mount that I imagined used to have a screw to fix the arm into the bass drum. When you look from the inside of the drum, it is evident that it is not an original mount. I'm looking for any information about this: where these mounts popular at any moment? Who sold these? Any idea if there was other Sling with this kind of mount?

Wahou! You are right! Thanks for the info!

Here is one from a seller on Reverb... https://reverb.com/item/5843905-premier-cymbal-mount-for-bass-drum-470-50-1970-s-chrome

I don't have all the pieces, but it looks like a nice version of other cymbal arm mounts. The only thing, is that it needs a HUGE hole... Was it something people used a lot during the 60s or 70s?
