The drum is finished.

Here is a link to a picture of the Autocrat snare as it appeared in the pages of the 1911 Excelsior Drum Works catoalog. Thanks George for having this for a reference. This drum would actually predate that catalog because the drum was made in Philadelphia but the catalog was printed after the company moved to Camden New Jersey.

Absolutely beautiful job, but nothing less than I'd expect to come out of your shop. So how's it sound? There's just no modern substitute for gut snares on calfskin heads.
