I went on a Carnival cruise last year and they only had a few bands playing, and the stage shows I went to had canned music. The one band I saw multiple times was a cover band doing top-40 stuff. They were good, but it was what you'd expect to see at a bar on a Saturday night. The whole set up was different from what I'd been expecting from reading online and hearing cruise bands talked about for years now. I really thought there'd be a solid band supporting all the acts and playing around the ship when not on stage.

That’s the cruise line hiring , I think there changing it up to more of a Vegas style act. Who knows mite be fun for a younger guy or gal.

Tribute band i'm in..This will be my first time playing a cruise, so i'm looking

forward to it. We have two shows in 7 days, at 2 sets a night, in the theater venue.

Hi Mark,

Yes ! Plenty of Wings and Beatles, and some newer solo

McCartney stuff. Although the set is pretty slick, clocking in

at 45-50 minutes, so the vocalist had to choose the biggest ones.

Tough decision ! Yes Sir

Hi Jeff ,

Thanks ! It should be a great time ! Although i gotta get used to

a click for back tracks. The cruise only wanted 4 musicians instead of 5, so keyboardist is out.

Anyway, he's got another gig with a well known Genesis tribute called The Musical Box.

That is a sweet gig. From what i've been told, it's going to take him across north America

and Europe ! But he said he had his work cut out for him.

Early Tony Banks is no joke !

Cheers,

Rob
