And of course, they are all the way across the country. If they were in reasonable driving distance, I'd grab them...just because they're $60 and I love the finish.

I also have no room to store them at this point, so maybe it's a damned blessing they're so far away.

Wow, 60 lousy bucks!?

That would hardly get me a good lunch in NYC, but it could get me a pretty exotic looking drum set! Crazy!

Yeah, I'm glad it's on the other side of the country as well!

So, I took a shot and emailed the seller, who thanked me and said he's had a lot of interest locally, but said he'd keep my email in case he couldn't find a buyer. I told him I'd pay all shipping costs.

The ad is down...the drums are gone. Oh well. I could have flipped those cymbals and covered the cost of the drums and shipping and then some. You win some and lose some.

Just as I expected. A flipper. The original seller is probably ****ed off that he let them go so cheap. I wish I could have nabbed those drums, but I may have flipped the cymbals, unless they were amazing old Zildjians.

Can you supply a link? As to these being flipped, I seriously doubt they would get their asking price! Most flippers of vintage drums just don't have a clue as to what's involved when demanding top dollar. Condition is everything. You have to spend the time to clean and detail the drums to recoup some money. Even then, they have to be priced for what they are. In this case, they're still just inferior MIJ drums.
