thats a very neat wrap. i agree that the wrap/lugs look german like to me..

That's mid range 6 lug drum from Tromsa---- mid-70's, into the 80's,or thereabouts. The lugs on it may be plastic.

I've seen 7 lug designs on Tromsa. That one was second to the last and was out around the same time that Sonor and Rimmel used similar style lugs. It came in a cast metal version and a plastic version and similar to Sonor's experience the plastic ones could split.

i'm certainly not versed on these, but i really thought these were 60's...

Calfskin and mlayton...update as the drum has now arrived..the wrap is in fact a lot darker than the original post (not orange at all), it is a redder/root beer colour with a gold wavey line going through it, (do you know what the wrap is called please) it has in fact 6 slotted tension screws and the lugs are metal.

Very pleased as the wrap is in great condition and all i need to do is now polish the top and bottom chrome rims. All this for just over £20..Delighted :-)

I have seen that Alligator looking wrap on a few Tromsa drums,but the strainer is a new one one me. Still looks great from where I sit. Good score
