They could possibly be from HRK/Trak. A Pearl derivative from the 80s. I have a floor tom that sounds like a cannon. Nothing extraordinary about it, but it sounds great.

Hi Trak drums ever used that type of lug..Back in the late 1980s I sold Paiste drums new sets 6 ply breech wood shells--top line was Paiste drums- the lower end were Trak drums 6 ply shells..Both of these drums were made by pearl for Paiste to sell in the u.s...If i can[i'am still trying to post photos on the site]]I still have the lugs that were used on Paiste and trak drums...Mikey

I think the Jack$$$ comment is way out there and not called for here IMO. That vintage cocktail bass pedal is worth some cash (atleast to me - please sell it to me when you`re tired of it!)

I just want to throw in - don`t those lugs look a bit like those old REMO 1980s kit lugs?

For info. & live schedule:

*Odery Drums Japan endorser/ representative
*Japan Distributor of Vruk DrumMaster pedals
*D'Addario Japan Evans/Promark/Puresound
*Amedia Cymbals Japan

It's the journey not the destination.

Mystery Solved! Mikey, you nailed it and thank you! I removed a lug and PUT MY GLASSES ON, and sure enough those symbols that I thought were little part #s were the word Pearl. This word was so off center I had to remove the little rubber damper but as it came into focus, Pearl.

Let me complement you on your sharp memory Mikey, remembering no re-rings and such, impressive.

OsakaBop, “You Sir have a fine eye for quality” (spoken in a Ray Charles in the “Blues Brothers” voice) and seriously it is a rare pedal that was in the trash with the drums I salvaged. This pedal is adjustable in every way (a very good players pedal) and the height/drum size rod just happened to be perfect for mounting it to the Cocktail drum.

You guys are the best, thank you for taking the time for my “lowly” Cocktail kit.

OsakaBop, That is the comment that prompted me to post this thread called "Trap Set Pioneers" in the "Vintage Drum" area.

This is obviously a contraption some jack put together. It is a small Japanese bass drum with Tama Swingstar looking lugs, Japanese L-arm cymbal mount/ and also bass drum mount that someone obviously went to the hardware store and bought some nuts and bolts and attached some kind of mount to the hi hat stand. The kick pedal is twisted as if someone is trying to play it like a Tympani. Kind of funny if you ask me.

Sorry if i offended you, but i thought you just picked this up off some kid or something and were wondering what it was. I didnt know you actually made it to look like that.
