I agree with John, there were some Pearl/Pearl made drums with interior maple veneers.
I think an appropriate price for this set would be somewhere around $250-350 depending on what all is thrown in with the deal (a cymbal or two?) and given that it looks like one of the more rare wraps. Even $750 is pretty out of line, but then again, I'm not sure what the currency exchange rate is to compare Canadian dollars to US$.
