Found a one in good shape about two years ago, the guy was selling it with Zildjian K's and gibralter hw. It's a 22x16, 12x8, 16x16, 14x5.5 in Oyster Pearl wrap. Paid $600! I was driving out of his driveway looking in the rear view mirror to make sure he wasn't chasing me down. Actually, he just wanted to see it go to a good home. It's in my recording studio now, I used it on a few tours last year, but I'm reluctant to take it out. The pic is from my old rehearsal studio, taken Sept. 2015

Very Nice!

I had the pleasure of working for Mr. Corder in the mid 1970's. He first had the Custom Clear Drum Company on Blue Spring Road and then the Corder Drum Company on Triana Boulevard. I worked there when the Triana store first opened. My good friend, Terry Cornett, worked there until the business sold in 1990, over 20 years. I remember silk screening plastic bags for the RainboJingle tambourines and buffing the plastic shells. The first clear drums were made in an oven at Terry's Pizza on North Parkway. Jimmy's son Don still makes plastic marching band flip folders and wonderful tube lugs. I agree about the limited output and availability of the Corder drums but it is hard to find a better sounding and more versatile shell than the Jasper maple shells. Mr. Corder's background was band instrument repair and he opened a retail music store on Meridian Street before he got into the drum business. I remember his hobby of collecting birds and an aviary in the rear of his house. Thanks for bringing back good memories.
