Cool MIJ snare - any guesses who made it?

My guess is either Pearl of Tama - but that is not saying much! Pearl because the throw looks like it has a similar styled part to a Pearl made strainer I have - and Tama - because the Lugs just say TAMA to me......

guesses?

I had a great day! Instead of sleeping in and wasting the day, I got up at 8 and I had all my slacking done by noon!

Nice looking drum for matching a kit but everyone, myself included don't use them, 99% of the time. They just don't have the depth or sensitivity for most applications...This drum is likely a Pearl, but no one knows for sure.

I've had several of these drums over the years. They're one of the "stencil" badge MIJ snares, though which one of the hundred or so brand names I don't recall. Design is basically a Premier "knockoff" with threaded tab loaded "one center hole" flush braced tension style lugs. Nice appearance but poor materials used to construct shell and castings. The lugs develop stress cracks on the ends. I truly admire the Japanese skill and ingenuity in making and exporting entry level drums in the post-War period using the materials and resources available to them at the time.
