Pix please! I can tell you when I see the lugs and the strainer on the snare. Also the tom mount will tell some as well.
The Continentals I know are Pearl stencil MIJ/MIT w/hex rod mounts.Six lug bass/snare -bare bones jobs.
I picked these up last night the drums are not so great. Pretty poor but they were free. oh well.
I would still like to see what they are. Are they damaged? Or are they just old MIJ? The reason I ask is there may be a solution so you don't have to store them, unless you want to tear them down and do a little work to get them up to gigging specs. If they ave a cool wrap, they are really worth the effort, if for nothing more than stage presence.

Who cares! They're round, and you can hit 'em with a stick. Even better... they're FREE!
Yeah post those pix. Free drums always have a 'halo' that shows up around them when photographed. Please be sure to adjust your lighting... Cool1
Wow, I just found this after looking through old posts here. my first kit was a Continental, sold to me in the summer 1988 as a "Pearl Continental" by some (at the time) teenager. I sold them the same way a few years later so I could buy a Royal Pewter Imperialstar that sat in the store since the 80s. I have a goofy pic of me playing them back in the 80s when I was maybe 11. The finish looked like they had been spray painted but man, did that bass drum sound nice. I still think of it when I tune my current bass drum up.
