Concert toms

Why is the 6 inch concert tom is hard to find these days. I know Pearl made a single head tom and double headed toms to . Back then. Export series . 1980s . Because Ludwig made a 6 inch double headed tom also in the 1970s

Hard to find because there just weren't that many of them purchased! Even Slingerland offered this size, but not many takers. I even used a set of concert toms with my Slingerland BR kit and chose the "mid-range" sizes; 10/12/13/14. 6" and 8" were too small and any size above the 14" were just too big for me. Kind of a "Goldie Locks" thing!

Attached is my kit, and me, from the very early 80's!!

What a great looking kit! What kind of stuff did you play back then? Whatever it was, bet you were really good!

They came with Phonics but were attached to the 8. This may be most of the case it is hard to find them.

No I am not . I have a set of Pearl's Export 8' 10' solid wood toms . I am looking for a 6' to match my set . Black ones . But I used to play with all of them back in the 1980s when I had them.

One thing. Why is it so hard to find solid wood rack toms like mine is in the picture . These here are 8x8 and 10x8 . Not concert toms at all. Just rack toms . I know solid wood concert toms just might cost a lot to get. Beside the other ones made in fiberglass . Any input on this section . Please

It will be really a long shot to even come across those Pearl concert toms are made out of solid wood. Even vintage TAMA made concert toms out of wood. Why Pearl couldn't really do that same thing
