Did the Club Date's have an inexpensive 8 lug snare as part of the kit or were they Jazz Festival's?

I believe they came with a 6 lug Pioneer snare until the mid 60's they started coming with an 8 lug acrolite. They probably only came with a jazz festival as a special order.
